Lady Gaga makes surprise appearance during U2's Las Vegas concert

Lady Gaga was brought out as a surprise guest during U2's Las Vegas performance on Wednesday night.
Lady Gaga
Frontman Bono invited the Poker Face singer onto their turntable-style stage during one of their residency shows at the Sphere.

Describing her as "the most audacious, vivacious woman in any room she's ever in", he added, "Would you welcome to our turntable, the divine - the divinyl! - Lady Gaga."

The pop singer joined the group for duets of their songs, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and All I Want Is You, and her track Shallow, from her 2018 movie, A Star is Born.

According to Variety, Bono said in the middle of their duet, "Take it to the Elvis chapel... You are the vestal virgin of Las Vegas!"

U2 opened the new state-of-the-art Sphere venue with their U2:UV Achtung Baby residency on 29 September, while Gaga wrapped up the recent leg of her Jazz & Piano residency at Dolby Live inside Park MGM earlier this month.

She previously performed with U2 for a rendition of Ordinary Love during a show at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2015.

Her latest duet with U2 comes almost a week after she performed Sweet Sounds of Heaven with The Rolling Stones during a surprise 25-minute concert in New York on 19 October. The collaboration appears on the band's new album, Hackney Diamonds.
