Madonna has announced that her Greatest Hits album will be called Celebration.

Her compilation, spanning a 25-year career, will be available in both single disc and two-CD versions, while a DVD featuring her most popular videos will be made available on the same day.

The album will be released in the UK on September 28 and will be preceded by a single, also called 'Celebration', which will receive its first radio play on August 3.

Celebration, produced by Madonna and Paul Oakenfold, is one of two new songs on the album.

As well as the new songs, three of her classic hits have been confirmed for the album's tracklisting which are Everybody, Express Yourself', Vogue as well as recent chart hit 4 Minutes.

The Material Girl has had 62 UK top ten hits since she made her chart debut in 1984, 13 of them number ones.
