Rihanna and Chris Brown have reportedly been seen kissing in a nightclub.

The singers were a couple until Chris assaulted Rihanna in early 2009, after which they went their separate ways.

Over the last few months there has been intense speculation they are planning to reunite, after they worked on songs together and were seen partying and holidaying in the same area.

The pair were both at Griffin nightclub in New York City on Monday night, where it's been claimed they made no secret of their feelings for each other.

'[They were] hugging and kissing, and they went to the back of the club alone together,' an insider told Celebuzz.

Chris apparently arrived at the hotspot first, with Rihanna getting there five minutes later.

The two stars were given different tables, with two others between them. It's been claimed that as soon as Chris saw Rihanna, he 'climbed over the centre to get to her'.

As they were reunited he took his shirt off and began dancing provocatively. The insider added the pair looked 'very smitten'.

They began strutting their stuff together and smooched all night, apparently not caring who was watching. According to New York Post, they even retired to the bathroom at one point.

Chris left at around 3.50am, with Rihanna exiting a couple of minutes later.

Chris has been dating Karrueche Tran recently, but she was not at the club.

The two singers sparked rumours they were ready to go public with their rekindled romance at the recent MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), when Rihanna gave Chris a peck on the lips after picking up a prize.
