Janet jackson has cancelled her upcoming tour of Japan.

The singer was expected to start the Far East leg of her Rock Witchu tour on February 14, but her Japanese promoter said she she had cancelled all seven dates.

Citing the "impact of economic crisis", Kyodo Yokohama said the tour will be rescheduled for later this year and new dates would be announced in March.

Jackson, whose current world tour is her first for seven years, had to cancel several shows in September when she became ill.
