U2 tipped for Oscar success
U2 have been tipped for the Best Song award at the Oscars after soundtracking 'Brothers'.

Jim Sheridan, the director of 'Brothers', has tipped U2 to scoop the gong for Best Song at this year's Oscars. Sheridan believed the band narrowly missed out on a Golden Globe, but thinks Bono and co. can walk away with an Oscar for their song 'Winter' reports XFM.co.uk.

"I'm sorry the lads didn't win a Golden Globe but I think there's a good chance they could get an Oscar instead for Best Song," said Sheridan to the Irish Independent.

The Oscars, or the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, takes place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on March 7.
