Michael Jacjson is being sued by a music promoter who wants to put a stop to his shows in London this summer.

AllGood Entertainment has filed a lawsuit claiming that the King Of Pop must first perform in the US under a contract he signed with them before embarking on his 50-night stint at the 02 Arena, due to begin in July.

The New Jersey-based company filed the legal action in New York yesterday and named AEG Live - who Jackson signed with for the O2 shows - as one of the defendants.

Also named as defendants were Jackson's production company and his manager Frank DiLeo.

Under the alleged agreement, Jackson is not allowed to perform in London until at least three months after a Jackson Five reunion in 2010.

As well as an attempt to prevent the O2 concerts from taking place, AllGood is seeking $20m (£12.1m) in damages.

In a statement, the company said: "This is a case where the little guy followed the rules and was pushed aside by industry giants AEG and the Jacksons for the promise of bigger money and movies."

750,000 tickets have been sold for the O2 residency, which is scheduled to start on July 13.

Last week, the 'Thriller' singer reportedly told fans that he is not happy to have been booked to play the 50 dates.
