Rihanna has reportedly signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation.

The Pour It Up hitmaker recently fulfilled her deal with Def Jam and decided to make a switch to the rapper's label, which has managed her career since 2010, MTV News reports.

A source at Def Jam apparently told the outlet Rihanna made her move in April 2013, when Jay made a deal to partner Roc Nation with Universal Music Group.

Def Jam will reportedly continue to market Rihanna's music, however.

Rumours of the label change were sparked early on Monday, after Complex magazine noted Rihanna was being branded as a 'Legacy' artist on the Def Jam site.

Spokespersons for the parties involved had not commented on the claims at press time.

Jay famously launched Rihanna's career after bringing her to Def Jam during his tenure as president of the label back in 2005.

He left the company in 2008 and months later partnered with Live Nation on the new venture, signing acts including Rita Ora, Jay Electronica and J. Cole.

Rihanna's seventh album, Unapologetic, debuted at the top spot on Billboard's 200 US music chart and scored the singer a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

The 26-year-old took home Artist of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles just last week.

The singer recognised her fans and the people she works with in a speech at the ceremony.

'I know I'm a pain in the a**, but it's worth it because we got the biggest award of the night!' she told her team as she took the stage.

The pop star also won Best Fan Army, Hip Hop/R&B Song of the Year (Pour It Up) and Song of the Year (Stay).
