Adele called 'too fat'
Adele has been called 'too fat' by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

The creative director of Chanel made the hurtful comments to Metro Paris about the Someone Like You singer.

Although Karl is known for being outspoken his harsh words have been deemed a step too far.

'The thing at the moment is Adele,' he told the publication. 'She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.'

The 78-year-old was also quizzed about M.I.A. showing the middle finger during her performance with Madonna and Nicki Minaj at Sunday's Super Bowl half-time performance.

'Nowadays people give the middle finger quite quickly,' he said. 'It's not the best behaviour. Everybody does that, what's new about that? It's just become a bad habit.'

Adele is set to perform for the first time since undergoing throat surgery at this weekend's Grammy Awards where she is nominated in six categories.
