Detective to reveal Murray interview
Detective Scott Smith is currently on stand to disclose Dr. Conrad Murray's interview tape.

Dr. Conrad Murray has been accused of administering a lethal dosage of Propofol to Jackson in June 2009. Murray has denied all allegations. His defence contends that Jackson administered the fatal drug to himself.

Los Angeles Police Department Detective Smith is currently testifying in Murray's trial.

Detective Smith is expected to release a highly-anticipated recorded interview with Murray that was taken by police authorities two days after Jackson's death.

The interview has not been played in court yet, but pivotal information is thought to soon be revealed to the jury via the recording.

"Dr. Murray told cops that he loved Michael Jackson, and that he was trying to ween him off Propofol,' a source close to the case told RadarOnline.

'Dr. Murray considered Michael Jackson a very close friend, and he was devastated that Michael Jackson was dead. He got extremely emotional that Michael had died. Dr. Murray said repeatedly how much he loved Michael Jackson.'

Is it thought that Dr. Murray talked candidly about what narcotics he provided to Jackson the day of his death.

'[The interview lasted] about two hours. Dr. Murray admits to giving Michael Jackson Propofol and several other drugs, including sedatives,' said the source.

The trial continues throughout the day.
