Rihanna has not recorded a duet with boyfriend Chris Brown.

Record label sources said reports that the singer had teamed up with Brown days after being allegedly assaulted by the him were untrue.

An insider said: "Contrary to published reports, Chris Brown and Rihanna did not record a duet after the incident."

It was reported that the couple worked on the track with producer Polow Da Don.

The trio did produce a demo together in August last year, but it was eventually passed on to the Pussycat Dolls.

The source added: "Nothing has been recorded by Chris and Rihanna together since February."

Rihanna and Brown reportedly rekindled their romance in Miami last month during a stay at Sean Combs beach house.
