Rihanna getting back to work
The 'Umbrella' singer - whose boyfriend Chris Brown was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats last week, after allegedly assaulting her - is keen to put her recent troubles behind her and has started recording new songs.

Her producer Adonis Shropshire said: "She's really just easing back into it. Just a couple of ideas here and there over the last couple of weeks. It's coming out good.

"She's really going in the same direction. She always brings her best efforts every time she steps into the stage or the studio. Her next album will eclipse what she's done before, so it's going to be hot."

Adonis insists Rihanna, 21, is coping well with the attention on her private life, and is doing all she can to get over the incident.

He added to HipHollywood.com: "She's doing OK. I mean, of course with the situation, she's all right. You have to remember, she's still a kid. With anybody in the world that goes through something, you have to bring yourself out of it. So I guess her refuge is her music, of course, as it should be.

"Of course, there's still remnants of whatever from time to time, but she's definitely trying to move forward."

Chris, 19, is accused of punching, biting and choking Rihanna in his rented Lamborghini car.

He is yet to enter a plea in relation to the charges, but is due to appear in court on April 6.
